Serpents Desire (The Last Serpent #2) Reviews

Just as with the first book, this one was an okey read. Again, I practically flew through the book, though it might have more to do with it's length rather than it's writing. I liked the general plot and where the story is headed, but there were some things I did not agree with. The second book managed to raise quite a lot of questions, but only gave answers to a few of them. Like, the Keeper forbade Dante from teaching Lilith, even though he's the best man (or in this case - incubus) for the jo [...]

Addicting! This series keeps getting better and better! I love how the relationships keep building and their affection is so real. I hate Leo though ! He is a total ass!!!

  • Jeanny

1.5 stars will not continue the series. Ridiculously predictable & a waste of my time.

Serpent’s Desire by Tansey Morgan is book two in her, The Last Serpent series. Serpent’s Desire picks right up where things left off with book one, Serpent’s Touch. Lilith is at the mansion with several other men and she finally gets to meet this mysterious Leo. Leo, the one who will be her mentor to teach her what she needs to know, is coming. The minute Leo breezes through the door everything changes. All authority seems to go to him as he rattles off commands to the Keeper and the other [...]

Rating 2.5 starsThis book leaves a lot to be desired. First of all the MC Lilith has no clue she is a supernatural. Then she is attacked by vampires and saved by another supernatural who tracks down sups before they possess their powers. She blindly follows this guy to a “school” for sups. She is there for a day and then gets initiated (made to make her powers manifest). She meets 4 boys and some other stuff happens. That is the end of the first book. Second book is day 2 where she is traine [...]

The second book of Tansey Morgan's new series builds nicely on the first book. We share Lilith's discoveries of her new abilities and also learn more about the abilities of the five men she shares a mansion with as they work together to find out why she is in danger. Dante is still a mystery, albeit a delicious and intriguing one, and Aiden is just gorgeous. The other three are coming into focus a little more but hopefully we will learn more in the next instalment as they all take a road trip.Th [...]

Love this unique series!Huge fan of the RH genre, and Tansey Morgan knows how to do it right! This is such a great series already - and it's only book two! But the storyline is so intriguing and the characters are wonderful. There are the "good guys"- the Keeper, Liam, Vik, Raphael, Aiden, Dante and Lilith, and the bad guys - vamps, werewolves and the cult, and guys that are probably good, but we love to hate - Leo and maybe Nikolai. The book is filled with suspense and action, but also with tend [...]

This book continues with everything promised in the first book: more magic, more mystery, more secrets, and more action. Lilith's new teacher returns to the school, but is he really the right person to show her how to use her new powers? Leo's presence almost brings more strife than learning into her life. While trying to learn control of her new gifts, Lilith also wants answers to why she's been targeted. The search strengthens her ties to the other students but what they find leaves them with [...]

I was very generously gifted and advanced reader copy if this book and voluntarily decided to review it This exciting story continues in book two, where book one left off. Lilith has learnt more about the supernatural world but still does not know much about her own breed. Her life shifts again with the arrival of Aidens mentor Leo!Chock full of excitement danger and romance, neither Lilith nor myself know who to trust. The chemistry between Lilith and the boys is fantastic to read and this exhi [...]

I enjoyed this second installment even more! We get some answers to the story line and a bit more background info on a few characters. However, there are still questions that need answers and new questions that have come up. I'm definitely interested to know more about why Dante isn't allowed to do certain things as well as what is Leo's deal? I liked how the MC and friends thought they were getting somewhere with finding out what was going on only to be thwarted in their efforts. It gives me mo [...]

I absolutely loved it! Just as good as the first! Morgan does a superb job of reeling in the reader and leaving you wanting more. The story continues for Lilith and the guys. They have just learned she is a succubus, and it's now time to begin her training. But how can Lilith focus on training when she still doesn't know who wants her dead? I love the main characters. I love the interactions between them. They are sexy and sweet, fierce and frightening. All around a great second book to the seri [...]

So sexy! This series is so much fun! I'm 100% sure Lilith and I share the same book of insults, and have equally dirty mouths. Lmao She is such an awesome, strong, and bada$$ character! I adore that the guys aren't all super typical, and are sexy & sweet. Then Dante with his swagger and attitude which I can't NOT adore! So excited to read book 3! I HIGHLY recommend this series! Great read!

Wonderful! Lilith is a delightful mix of naivete and confidence. Her naivete stems from just learning her heritage. He confidence from years of taking care of herself. Leo is simply an arrogant buffoon. He has more knowledge and experience than the other members of the household, but no leadership and educator skills.I was provided this book as an ARC by the author; however, the review is my honest opinion.

EnjoyedI enjoy that they are finding more information about why she is being hunted. Leo seems to be in some way involved with the back guys by the way he treats her. I would love to find out why Dante is so against them being together, even if it isn’t beneficial energy wise it would still bond them in other ways and if they both want it then why not?

This book was great but it flew by for me like the first one did.The character development is building, and I'm enjoying more of the characters than I did in the first book.I love Dante <3 even though he's a mystery.Another plus is Lilith is becoming more confident. Gotta love a strong female character The only complaint I have is that the books have been too short.

Still not sure about this seriesSo finished the story but still not sure if I'm enjoying it. The content was better then the first but I think the fact the books are broken into parts is my biggest problem. Just when I feel like I'm getting the story or about to find out something that's vital to the story, it ends. Holding out hope that the next book is more informative.

Full of suspense!!!Serpent's Desire is amazing. I'm really enjoying finding more about Lilith and all the other men in the house. You are peeling layers off of every character and it is so interesting. As the group finds out more about each other and supernatural beings they are starting to see a pattern with women of other house's. You just don't want to put the book down.

  • Rayne

This was ok. It moved along nicely and I’m enjoying the mix of supernaturals. The only major flaw is character building. I feel I am only starting to skim the surface of the little group. I even have to keep stopping to remember which guy had which power and was which supernatural being. Things are just a little to vague for my liking. Not sure if I will continue the series yet.

  • Kim

Another great bookThank you can't wait for the next book. I love the how things move along and keep your eyes glued to the book. I Also like how her relations with the guys are forming. Wow mystery, mystery so many ways things can go!!! Thanks

  • Ann

Another amazing book. Lilith is still getting used to being a succubus and all that it entails. We get to learn more about the men in the mansion and met one of the mentors. I thought it was well written and fun to read. I will be waiting anxiously for book three.

  • Gabbi

Ummm where’s the rest?Lol! I cannot wait to read the next one I love Lilith! She’s a badass and I love the way she reacts to situations! Her and Raph wonderful! I absolutely cannot to see what kind of situations await in London!

  • Brooke Japhet

Another great one!Wow! Things definitely heated up with these guys! I love the dynamic they have started wit the group and how attached she is to them already! The storyline just keeps getting better and better, I can’t wait to see what happens in book three! Another great book!

  • Kayla

Well writtenI really liked booked 2. It sheds some light on who may be hunting Lilith and why. We get to see her relationship with 2 of her men start to blossom. (I haven't decided if Dante is in her Harem, but I hope so)

  • Ash

Good but not greatWell written story line, if not a little short. I feel like some of the relationships are being forced and lack chemistry, though. Curious to where it all leads so I will keep on with the series.

  • Neenee Blake

Bad girls have all the funLoved this Aiden and Lilith and Raph and Vick and even Dante are so amazing together Dante will crumble soon(I hope) can’t wait to read more of this

  • Anastasia Spinelli

ObsessedI love this series, Dante is I am a huge fan of Tansey Morgans work. N her as a person. U r doing urself a disservice if u don't read her books.!!!!

  • Vanessa Vargas

4.5☆This is a great continuation to book one, I love how her relationship/friendship with the guys is progressing. I can't wait to read what comes next.

  • Leah

  • CL Runchey
