This is a slight, enjoyable title from the 90's run of Nightwing. It was nice to get a little backstory on Alfred, the Shakespearean actor and jilted Romeo. The plot held my interest and Nightwing was used more as a supporting character to drive the action. Alfred is the main character here; we see what he's been up to since resigning from Batman's service. My main complaint here is the awful execution of Nightwing/Dick. He is drawn terribly. I started reading this because I read that it was good comic to read when reading up on Nightwing (There is a lot of 'read' words in that sentence, sorry). But this comic was more about Alfred and his life outside of being the Batman's caretaker. It was an interesting story line with nice illustrations. Overall, a good comic that gives you a more in depth look in the history and life of Alfred Pennyworth.
Nice development and look into Alfred's character and history; something that's only touched on in the occasional quip and flashback in other comics. Not to mention great bonding moments between Alfie and Dick.
