4 being-mature-is-sexy stars.****Review completed January 16, 2014Alex’s own hand shook slightly as he reached up to cradle her cheek in his palm. She flinched at the contact but didn’t shove him back as he’d feared. He stroked his thumb gently across the silken curve of her cheek, dying inside because he needed so much more. “It was me,” he whispered back. “Whatever I did and didn’t tell you back then, it was still me.” He wrapped the fingers of his other hand around her palm, p [...]
Brilliant! 5 fantastic stars! This book was an AMAZING ending to one of my favorite series! The writing, story-line, and characters were wonderful to read and experience.I couldn't put it down until I was done.I absolutely LOVED Alex and Grace together! Alex knows he messed up with Grace 4 years ago. He knows he destroyed whatever trust she had in him, and that he broke her heart. Because of the undercover work he was doing he couldn't stay with her after she got hurt, and he has lived with that g [...]
Opening Line: “Arms folded across his chest, Alex Rycroft leaned back in the hard plastic chair and stared across the stainless steel table into the prisoner’s dark, defiant eyes.”This was my very first read from Kayla Cross, even though I’ve been hearing about how awesome she is for years. I’m not sure what I was waiting for but it was worth it; living up to all the hype with a fantastic, smart and sexy romantic suspense. I will definitely be picking up her entire back catalogue. I sh [...]
NTM author and I am going to go pick up the entire back series! Loved reading about a hot older couple. Only niggle wish that adoption would have been considered, but that is a personal thing.
*2,5 stars*As far as I'm concerned, this serie is a poor remake of the author's Suspense series. The Suspense series wasn't perfect but it has some great books. The Bagram Special Ops series is original and good. But this one? Total loss of time and money. The only reason I read it all is because it was a challenge and the books are shorts. That being said, Rekindled was maybe the best in this bunch even though there were holes like houses in the plot, too much sweetness and don't get me started [...]
A 4.0 STAR read. This wasn't my favorite of the series but I'm glad Alex got his HEA. He certainly was intense and alpha with his feelings towards Claire. Very "growly". I think the issues they had in the beginning regarding their past were resolved a little too quick for me but overall I liked it. A good, second-chance romance. Loved catching up with Sean in this one too. Looking forward to seeing what comes next in this series.
*wipes tears* So good. I cried.ral times and I swooned over Alex and Grace. Such a great end to this series!!I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion and is not a paid review.Review on the blog to come on 2/5/14 Straight Shootin' Book Reviews
Another hit. The thing I love the most about Kaylea Cross are her women! I love them. They're strong, they are compassionate, they are wonderful. Great great great!
This one left me with emotional residue. I LOVED it. Who doesn't love a second chance story? I love the more mature characters, the complex dilemmas, and the hot I-know-what-I'm-doing sex. Of all the characters in this series, Alex is the stoic one, the one who is always in control. So, it is a joy to see him finally let go and FEEL. They say that still waters run deep. I love watching/reading Alex dive into the deep end. I am moved by Alex's profound sense of regret because of the choices he ma [...]
You can read the whole review Here :) I’m glad I finally got the chance to learn more about Alex and his history. He is the oldest character in the books and the most mysterious. I really liked the plot but it was somewhat slow written. And I feel that in a situation as the 5th book is taking place, should not be slow. At all! I did however like that I got to know how it would go with Dunphy. The 4th book quite ended on a cliffhanger when Dunphy regarded. It was hard to read but with a great e [...]
I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This is book five, the final one in the Titanium Security series. When reading a series, it’s hard to be as objective with each book in the series because no matter how hard I try not to, I’m comparing the books… I liked Rekindled better than Singed, Burned, and Extinguished but still not as much as I liked Ignited. The gist: This is Alex’s book. Alex is the NSA guy who has been in charge of the investigation into the te [...]
Romantic SuspenseRelease: January 20145 StarsABOUT THE BOOK:Four years ago, Dr. Grace Fallon lost everything that mattered in a terrorist attack she barely survived. Now she’s stronger than ever and in Pakistan with a UN-sanctioned team for the most important assignment of her career. She’s dedicated her life to eradicating the world of chemical weapons, and long ago accepted the inherent risks associated with her job. Until the man whose memory has haunted her for so long suddenly reappears [...]
5 starsSPOILER ALERT. This is an honest and highly subjective review, proceed with caution. You have been warned.Rekindled is my top most favourite in Titanium Security‘s series. Below are the reasons why.Today, we gather around to celebrate that our terrorist leader, Hassani, has finally have a bullet buried between his eyes, forever. Sorry, if I sound like a cold-hearted sadist. He deserved it. The honor of course goes to the Titanium Security‘s boss, Alex Rycroft, who did the deed. Bow do [...]
3.5 Stars for older couple (yay- over 20!), second chance romance, military suspense awesomeness!Dr. Grace Fallon had her world turned upside down 4 years ago. She was injured in a terrorist attacked that not only got her shot, took away her chance of having kids, but also she found out that her boyfriend Jack was using her as part of an NSA mission and left her alone and recovering in the hospital.Four years later, Alex is working to take down a huge terrorist when he finds out that Grace is ne [...]
Oh my! Go get this book and read it! NOW! Wait, you might want to read the previous books in the series first because a) they're really good and b) this books picks up immediately at the end of the previous book and you might be a little behind if you just read this one. Truly though, you could read just this one and it would be soooo worth it for the minor confusion you would feel cause Kaylea Cross will catch you upI just think you'd miss out on not being in love with the whole cast of charact [...]
4.5 starsAlex knows he messed up with Grace when they broke up four years ago after he met her on an op. He knows she doesn't trust him but Grace is the one. Grace is a chemical weapons specialist and is working to eradicate the stockpiles and use of chemical weapons and has landed on Malik Hassani's radar. This is a great story of second chances and redemption and the bad guy gets his just reward. It's really nice to see a mature couple in a story like this. Thoroughlyl enjoyed this series and [...]
I really liked this one. I'm a sucker for second-chance romances and this certainly fits the bill. Plus, it's refreshing to have a 50 year old hero who is hot, alpha and take charge yet very vulnerable when it comes to his woman. There was an interesting terror threat at the forefront of the story and made this a suspenseful read.
I loved loved loved this book!! I really enjoyed the storyline
Awesome ending to the Titanium series!!!

What the story is about:A story about second chances and healing… Four years ago, Alex met Grace while being an undercover for NSA. The two fell in love fast but because of an accident Grace was badly hurt. Alex being an undercover had to leave Grace which left her devastated. After four years, Alex saw Grace on a market in Peshawar and can’t stop thinking about her. She’s got PhD in Chemistry and is now a chemical weapons inspector for the UN. Alex knows that he can’t do anything about t [...]
Kaylea Cross never disappoints!I absolutely love this book -- so refreshing to have a mature couple hot for each other!! And these two were meant to be together!! Love the second chance love story. Love how close the teammates are and how protective, fierce and loyal they are to each other. Worth reading!!
Well writtenGood tidy up story with a good dash of hot sex and sweet moments.
Originally posted on Adria's Romance ReviewsFirst of all, big props to author Kaylea Cross for successfully creating a romantic suspense around two older characters! Alex is in his 50s and Grace is in her mid 40s and age truly is nothing but a number in Rekindled!I haven't read any of Kaylea's books before this so I don't know if older characters are common in her books but Rekindled was my idea of a fast paced, action packed romance that kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. With [...]
ARC generously provided by publisher via Netgalley for honest review.Dr. Grace Fallon cannot believe her eyes when a ghost from her past pulls her from a cab in Pakistan for her UN job. He is not just a ghost, he is the man that destroyed her heart and soul four years earlier.NSA agent Alex Rycroft has lived with the regret of walking away from Grace for the past four years. He has tried to get back in touch with her but she won't respond to him. Finally two years ago she begged for him to leave [...]
'Rekindled' finally takes us to the villain's capture and destruction. After four books of Malik causing harm to the Titanium guys and the NSA, the last book in the series gives us a thrilling conclusion. The plot had me on the edge and I couldn't wait to see the Good triumph over Evil. In the romance aspect though, Alex and Grace were kind of 'meh' to me. What really really captured my attention was the plot to stop Malik, the few moments of the Titanium guys bonding (view spoiler)[Those browni [...]
The fifth book in the Titanium Security series is a thrilling action packed romance that packs an emotional punch.Having lost everything that mattered in a terrorist attack four years ago, Dr. Grace Fallon has dedicated her life to eradicating the world of chemical weapons, accepting all inherent risk involved. When she inadvertently becomes a target because of the man that’s haunted her for so long, she is forced to accept his protection and while she trusts him to keep her safe, can she trus [...]
It's a rare occasion to read a story where the characters are over 40 and I have to say, it was absolutely refreshing. Titanium Securities, the series was an overall excellent read. Each characters stories grabbed hold of the reader from the very start and never let go until the end. Rekindled, the final in this series delivered a tenderhearted and bittersweet reunion of past lovers, Alex and Grace, where both lost at love before and found love in each others arms once again. The hunt continues [...]
